The 270X is a very good graphics card for gaming and is an excellent value for the money. The R9 280X is another chip with the 'X' after its name - the R9 270X.
It's also a member of the R9 family, and while this series is really
designed for enthusiasts.
The 270X is pretty much identical to the 7870. So both have 80 texture units, for instance, and 1280 stream processors. All of this means that the 270X has some very decent bandwidth and texture fill rates.
