Google's Gamepad for Nexus Player Goes on Sale at $39.99

The Gamepad for Nexus Player accessory, which was unveiled alongside the new Nexus line of products - Nexus 9 and Nexus 6, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and Nexus Player - has been officially listed for purchase on Google Play US, with 3-4 weeks of delivery time specified.

Priced at $39.99 , the Gamepad, like the Nexus Player, has also been made by Asus, and is meant to provide finer control of Android games. It features two analog sticks, four D-pad buttons, and eight action buttons including two trigger buttons.

Nintendo Posts First-Half Net Profit of $132 Million

Japanese videogame giant Nintendo said Wednesday its first-half net profit soared to $132 million (roughly Rs. 810 crores) as a sharply weaker yen boosted its bottom line and offset slowing sales.

The Kyoto-based company earned JPY 14.3 billion between April and September, way up from JPY 600 million in the same period a year ago, despite sales falling 12.8 percent to JPY 171.4 billion on lacklustre demand for its 3DS games system.
